Human Resources Development Specialist

About the Role
The Human Resources Intern will provide administrative support to the HR team across P&H's three divisions. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic business environment, allowing you to gain valuable industry knowledge and skills to help build your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist HR Business Partners in developing or modifying HR policies, forms, and templates.
- Organize and maintain electronic HR files and update information on SharePoint.
- Coordinate the service awards program and run reports to analyze data and make recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct market and industry research on topics such as job evaluations, compensation reviews, competitor analysis, and upcoming regulatory changes.
- Support the Talent Acquisition team by screening resumes and conducting phone interviews.
- Manage the internal HR weekly newsletter and assist with planning for the summer internship program.
- Participate in monthly HR department meetings and contribute to other projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Enrolled in post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resources.
- Strong technical aptitude with hands-on experience in Microsoft 365 Application Suite, specifically Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Excellent attention to detail, along with communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
- Previous experience within a complex organizational structure, such as in manufacturing or operational settings, is considered an asset.
- Prior internship or co-op experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Health & Safety is a plus.
