About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Manulife. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion in the mortgage broker marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: You will be responsible for leveraging your skills and expertise to drive business volume in the mortgage broker marketplace. This will involve developing and executing strategic plans to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Operational Efficiency: You will be responsible for managing your time and responsibilities in an effective manner, ensuring that you are able to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Internal and External Relationships: You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including mortgage brokers, industry partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strategic Direction: You will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and support to the business, helping to identify and pursue new business opportunities and drive growth and expansion.
Requirements
  • Education: A college or university degree in a related field is required.
  • Experience: Prior sales experience in the financial services industry, ideally with familiarity in either the mortgage or insurance industries.
  • Skills: Strong business development and prospecting skills, with the ability to present material in a creative and engaging way.
  • Travel: Travel required within GTA/Toronto as well as across the country, with frequent travel within but not limited to the following major cities: Toronto & surrounding areas.
