Job Summary:

Spark Power Corp is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading the month-end/year-end close processes, account balances in general ledger, and financial reporting processes. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end/year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial reporting.
  • Supervise and coach a team of 4 direct reports, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Develop and implement procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
  • Participate in planning and forecasting for the Canada Technical Services line of business.
  • Assist with audits and taxes as needed.
  • Support the Director of Finance with other requirements and ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of general accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting and Professional accounting designation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Suite.
  • Proficiency with accounting software, including Oracle NetSuite & Adaptive.
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Ability to execute and deliver results within tight timelines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
