Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Innomotics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. This role will also involve identifying and resolving complex accounting issues, standardizing processes, and implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Regional Head of Accounting in the application and implementation of approved accounting policies in line with IFRS and Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting, tax, treasury, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and coordinate annual statutory and group financial statements and footnote disclosures for major entities.
  • Review and approve financial statement impacting postings and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Perform analytical procedures to identify and resolve risks to the financial statements.
  • Continuously strive for process efficiency while maintaining or increasing quality through automation and continuous process improvements.
  • Assist in assessing and implementing reporting system changes as required due to global or local changes in regulations or operational improvements.
  • Support the implementation and testing of internal controls, aligning with regulations, and collaborating with internal and external auditors.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, including GBS, CF Rs, Headquarter, Tax, and Segments.
  • Conduct research and analysis on accounting treatment to offer insight on financial statements.
  • Complete ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as special projects.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in finance/accounting or related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a complex corporate accounting environment with a strong understanding and use of IFRS or local GAAP accounting principles.
  • Previous experience in addressing and resolving non-routine and complex technical issues to timely and satisfactory conclusions, including working with management.
  • Ability to scope, assess, and implement new technologies to automate or digitalize legacy processes.
  • Prior track record in change management and continuous process improvements.
  • Proficiency in large ERP systems (i.e., Oracle, SAP, etc.) and MS365 applications.
  • Strong appreciation for the importance of ensuring accuracy in all levels of financial reporting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, communicate expectations, adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Passion for continued self-development through continuous learning and training efforts.
