Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As an Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of our client, a thriving export and trade company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 6 accountants, ensuring the smooth operation of accounting activities, including billing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including month-end closing statements, quarterly reports to the bank, and accounts payable and accounts receivable reports.
  • Manage relationships with banks, CRA, and auditors, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement department controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist the Financial Controller as needed, providing support and guidance to the accounting team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent, plus CPA, MBA, or pursuing.
  • 8+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Sage 300 is preferred.
  • Strong Excel and other Microsoft applications skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
