About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pyschiatrist to join our team at the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Mental Health Conditions: Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans to address a range of mental health issues, including psychiatric disorders and other related conditions.
  • Provide Medical Consultation and Advice: Offer expert medical consultation and advice to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Conduct Research and Stay Up-to-Date: Participate in medical research and stay current with the latest developments in psychiatric care to provide the highest level of care.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Possess a degree in medicine and relevant certifications, such as the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination.
  • Licensure and Registration: Hold licensure by provincial or territorial authorities and be registered with the relevant medical boards.
  • Experience and Skills: Possess significant experience in psychiatric care and demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
