Salary Range
CAD $74.48/Hr. - CAD $81.93/Hr.
Job Summary
This exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in Cardiac Oncology to join the Vancouver Coastal Health team. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for assessing cardiovascular toxicity of cancer treatment and treating known or suspected cardiovascular disease in cancer patients/survivors.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments of patients and clients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders and conditions.
- Initiate treatment plans, including healthcare management, therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medications in accordance with regulatory standards and employer policies.
- Collaborate with clients and other healthcare professionals to identify trends and patterns affecting patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement population-based strategies to improve health and participate in policy-making and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in peer review and self-assessment to evaluate service outcomes at individual, community, and population levels.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Four (4) years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) required.
