About the Role:


This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


The salary for this role is estimated at around $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.



  • In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary health care services to clients and their families, including assessing, diagnosing, managing, and evaluating health and illness concerns.
  • You will also perform advanced comprehensive and focused health assessments, order investigative procedures such as x-rays and lab tests, communicate with clients about health findings, and continually monitor response to chosen treatment plans.
  • Additionally, you will carry out advanced therapeutic interventions, adopt a long-term approach to client care, encourage maximum independence and accountability for self-care, and apply principles of harm reduction.
  • You will also communicate with family physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic services are provided to clients and their families.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and participate in and contribute to research relevant to practice, utilize research findings in clinical practice, and provide clinical supervision, education, and mentoring for graduate nursing students and other healthcare professionals.
  • Explain and promote the role of the nurse practitioner to clients, the public, and other healthcare professionals, develop and implement an education plan to maintain clinical competency, commit to professional self-development on an ongoing basis, propose, maintain, and update policies and procedures relevant to this position, and perform sundry duties as assigned.
