About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Advancement Liaison Professional to join our team at Assiniboine Community College.

Job Description:

The Advancement Liaison Professional will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with alumni, donors, and community stakeholders. This includes coordinating events, developing communications, and providing exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and work collaboratively with the College's Alumni Association Board of Directors
  • Coordinate a dedicated group of volunteers to help implement alumni-related projects
  • Implement and build the Stay Connected program(s) in order to maintain and build the alumni database
  • Coordinate all Board meetings; develop agendas and other materials as required
  • Provide assistance to support Board secretary with meeting logistics and minutes
  • Manage all alumni-focused events and fundraising initiatives
  • Develop and distribute all alumni-related communications
  • Manage alumni database as required
  • In collaboration with various college departments, contribute to internal and external engagement events and activities

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education: Assiniboine Community College graduate preferred
  • Business-related discipline would be an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered
  • Experience in marketing and sales
  • Client management skills an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities essential
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently essential
  • Proven track record with managing multiple projects/tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to guard confidentiality
  • Experience working with various roles within an organization
  • Communicating at a very high level necessary
  • A valid driver's license essential
  • Track record of negotiation experience
  • Familiarity with fundraising techniques
  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint essential
  • Basic skills and experience working with Mailchimp software an asset
  • Experience working with a customer relationship database (CRM) an asset
  • Blackbaud (Raiser's Edge) preferred

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position that requires occasional evening and/or weekend work. Travel will be required.

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
