Job Summary

The York Region District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Educational Professional to join our team as a Teacher and Educator. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum programs that promote academic excellence and student success
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Experience in teaching and educational leadership
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Special Education certification
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
  • Knowledge of Anishnaabe language and culture
