**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced IT Transformation Senior Manager to join our team at Aviva. In this role, you will play a key part in driving program governance practices and successful project execution.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead key transformational framework initiatives and IT strategy initiatives.
  • Ensure the ACF framework is followed on all projects and be involved in documentation and communication of any changes made.
  • Define and lead the PMO Intake Management process for all strategic changes and enhancements.
  • Define and manage the Delivery Leads Governance forum with structured Terms of Reference, reviewing status reports, portfolio risks and dependencies, and maintaining an active actions log.
  • Responsible for leading a delivery program comprised of dedicated cross-functional team members.
  • Help define the IT PMO framework with Project Managers and Scrum Masters.
  • Lead and drive accurate, current Project and Portfolio Status reporting, socializing with all levels across the stakeholders group.
  • Define framework in support of Enterprise Transformation outlining ways of working with Transformation Office, Agile COP, and EPMO.
  • Find opportunities to simplify/streamline all aspects of a project, having a holistic view on solutioning a strategy vs a short-term quick fix.
  • Be the conduit between the business and the technical team, presenting business rules and information in a way the technical team can consume efficiently.
  • Actively involved in all aspects of design, focusing on solutions that effectively respond to project/program problems to solve.
  • Involved in program delivery reporting.
  • Hands-on mentoring of IT staff on growing insurance knowledge, technical knowledge, and ability to use judgment to effectively lead projects in a manner that follows IT's guiding principles.
  • People Leader for Project Managers/Project Coordinators.
  • Lean in and help steer delivery for troubled projects.

**Requirements**

  • Overall 15+ years of delivery work experience.
  • 5 years of property & casualty insurance experience.
  • PMO/SAFE certifications are ideal.
  • University degree in computer science/IT is an asset.
  • Outstanding mentoring, collaborative, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in IT and business projects following the SDLC/Agile methodology.
  • Expert understanding of insurance industry, products, and services.
  • Ability to deconstruct business problems and provide root cause analysis and efficient solutioning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and drive delivery of initiatives with strategic business partners.
  • Self-starter with ability to run with multiple opposing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize and run multiple tasks as well as work towards tight timelines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with expert attention to detail.
  • Experienced in multi-functions and multi-years implementation initiatives.
  • Comfortable in engaging at Senior Level as well as a very detailed/analytical level.
