Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Biomedical Research Scientist to join our team at SickKids.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in biological sciences, with expertise in biostatistical data analysis, molecular or biochemical studies, and experiment design.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice to senior managers and officials on research projects and programs.
  • Conduct complex biostatistical data analysis using computer modeling techniques.
  • Develop and implement new or alternative methods of producing products through molecular or biochemical studies and experiments.
  • Monitor and evaluate health care programs, including literature reviews and monitoring health outcomes.
  • Prepare research papers, educational texts, and articles for publication.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as biochemistry, biomedical engineering, biophysics, cell biology, genetics, or microbiology.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of computer modeling techniques, machine learning, and data analysis software.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, pension plan, maternity and parental benefits, and vision care benefits.
