About the Role:

This Senior Applied Scientist position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of creating a more transparent, just, and inclusive future. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with experts in AI research areas, engineers, and product specialists to drive digital transformation.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative solutions using cutting-edge Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, and Machine Learning technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business problems into actionable projects.
  • Promote best practices in reproducible research and software delivery.
  • Elevate and mentor teammates to foster a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to share ideas and results.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • PhD in a relevant field or Master's degree with comparable experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience building NLP/IR/ML systems, from ideation to production.
  • Solid software engineering skills for prototyping.
  • Professional experience as a technical leader, guiding project development and coordination.

About Your Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $151,700 - $281,700 (Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC) or $137,900 - $256,100 (CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA, remote).
