Facility Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative professional to join our team as a Facility Supervisor. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating and supervising staff and subcontractors operating within various Black & McDonald FMO accounts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and assist with strategic objectives related to facility operations, including work order management, collaboration with customer stakeholders, and supervision of building operators and maintenance mechanics.
- Develop and implement effective work plans, including issuance of building communications and risk assessments, to minimize disruptions and ensure quality.
- Collaborate with tenants to complete work requests and maintenance tasks in accordance with customer protocols.
- Monitor, prioritize, and dispatch work orders to maximize productivity and ensure quality by verifying and auditing closed work orders.
- Ensure all training and certification requirements for staff are met through comprehensive tracking and scheduling.
- Conduct daily site walk-throughs and weekly inspections of active worksites to identify operational issues and formulate action plans.
- Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff, and participate in internal or client-based audits as needed.
- Familiarity with specific software packages and management tools (JDE / DSI / CMMS Dashboards, etc.)
- Advanced analytical and time management skills, with the ability to understand and apply facility management processes and standards.
- Outstanding knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proven customer service skills, with the ability to work days, evenings, and weekends, including holidays, as required.
- A university degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in a field of study that maintains relatable knowledge transferable to the job requirements outlined for this position is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a Building Operations position, with a trade license being an asset.
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
