Job Description

The Ministry of Social Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Policy Development Specialist to join their team in Regina.

As a Policy Development Specialist, you will play a key role in informing and developing policy, programs, and processes through analysis, stakeholder engagement, and policy research. You will communicate recommendations to decision-makers and respond to inquiries from other ministries, provinces, and territories.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social policy, excellent consultation skills, and the ability to lead and develop programs. You will have experience with government decision-making tools, legislation, and policy development processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing policy recommendations
  • Engaging with stakeholders and conducting policy research
  • Communicating recommendations to decision-makers
  • Responding to inquiries from other ministries and stakeholders
