Senior Manager, Consulting - Public Sector

MNP is a leading accounting and consulting firm that inspires growth by empowering our teams. We're looking for a Senior Manager to join our Consulting team in the public sector.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make an impact as a trusted advisor, providing comprehensive analysis, strategic guidance, and action planning that empowers clients to achieve their vision while balancing current needs with future goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the proposal, planning, and delivery of consulting engagements with a focus on strategy and planning services with primary emphasis on public sector entities, including work in private, not-for-profit, and Indigenous sectors.
  • Execute strategic planning, transformation planning, business planning, feasibility studies, operational planning, program review, program re-design, financial analysis, and other forms of management consulting.
  • Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition).
  • Review, design, and develop high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Maintain high-quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify, and address issues or key risks relevant to the client's business.
  • Navigate the local business community, consider business development opportunities, and lead the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs.
  • Mentor, motivate, and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in public administration, public policy, business, economics, political science, or other related fields.
  • CMC, PMP, Lean, or other related certifications are considered an asset.
  • 8+ years of consulting experience, ideally in a client-service environment, would be considered an asset.
  • Strong business development and practice management skills.
  • Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics.
  • Proven people management, relationship building, and leadership skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills.

Compensation: Our estimated salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, retirement savings plan, and generous paid time off.
