About the Role

Cineplex Entertainment is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at Playdium Whitby. As an Amusement Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our gaming equipment, conducting preventative maintenance diagnostics, and performing repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance diagnostics to ensure gaming equipment meets industry standards
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on gaming equipment, including installation, testing, and inspection
  • Execute the repair of gaming equipment, including troubleshooting and diagnosis
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues as needed
  • Install and maintain gaming systems, including software and hardware
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate gaming systems
  • Conduct equipment inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as-found conditions
  • Respond effectively to all issues and perform assigned equipment inspections
Requirements
  • Minimum college diploma in Electronics or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in related field
  • Experience with gaming equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Thorough knowledge of gaming equipment principles and operation
  • Highly motivated, organized, and reliable individual
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Work Environment

The Amusement Electronics Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be required to work at the Playdium Whitby location and may be required to work outside of regular operating hours to support installations, deliveries, and repairs.
