About the Role

Cineplex is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at Playdium Whitby. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our gaming equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance diagnostics to ensure gaming equipment meets industry standards.
  • Perform safe installation, testing, inspection, and repair of gaming equipment.
  • Execute the repair of gaming equipment and perform necessary maintenance changes.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues as needed.
  • Install, configure, and test gaming equipment and software.
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate gaming systems.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and due diligence efforts.
  • Respond effectively to technical issues and perform repairs as needed.
  • Prepare and submit reports on equipment conditions and recommend actions.
  • Comply with safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Recognize and mitigate safety hazards and propose solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum college diploma in Electronics or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience with gaming equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of gaming equipment principles and operation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The role requires the ability to work with tools, pipes, and materials, and to lift and manipulate objects up to 80 lbs. Personal protective equipment will be required, and the candidate must be able to stand for extended periods.
