About the Role

Cineplex is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at Playdium Whitby. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our gaming equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance diagnostics to ensure gaming equipment meets industry standards.
  • Perform safe installation, testing, inspection, and repair of gaming equipment.
  • Execute the repair of gaming equipment and perform necessary maintenance changes.
  • Provide guidance and training to colleagues as needed.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot gaming systems and associated equipment.
  • Remove and replace worn components and reactivate gaming systems.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections and due diligence efforts to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Respond effectively to all issues and perform assigned equipment inspections.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management detailing conditions found during inspections and recommend corrective actions.
  • Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure the safety of work areas.
  • Recognize and mitigate safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum college diploma in Electronics or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a related field, with experience in gaming equipment repairs and diagnostics.
  • Thorough knowledge of gaming equipment principles and operation.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and reliable individual with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, professional, and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
Work Environment

The Electronics Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The role requires the ability to work with tools, pipes, and materials, as well as the ability to lift and manipulate objects up to 80 lbs for 50 feet. Personal Protective Equipment will be required, and the individual must be able to stand for extended periods.
