About the Role

Cineplex is seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at Playdium Whitby. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our gaming equipment, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance diagnostics to ensure gaming equipment meets industry standards.
  • Execute repairs and maintenance on gaming equipment, including software and hardware upgrades.
  • Install and test new gaming equipment, ensuring it meets quality and safety standards.
  • Perform routine inspections and due diligence efforts to identify potential issues.
  • Respond effectively to equipment malfunctions and provide timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Technician Manager to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in gaming technology.
Requirements
  • Minimum college diploma in Electronics or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, preferably in the amusement industry.
  • Experience with gaming equipment repairs and maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and maneuver equipment, as well as work in a fast-paced environment.
