Amusement Electronics Technician - Playdium Whitby

We are seeking a skilled Amusement Electronics Technician to join our team at Playdium Whitby, responsible for maintaining and repairing gaming equipment to ensure a high-quality entertainment experience for our guests.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance diagnostics, installing and testing gaming equipment, and performing repairs as needed. They will also be required to maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to safety procedures, and comply with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance diagnostics to ensure gaming equipment meets industry standards
  • Install, test, and inspect gaming equipment to ensure proper function
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on gaming equipment, including replacing worn components and reactivating systems
  • Provide guidance and training to other team members as needed
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety procedures and regulations
  • Comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including those related to health and safety
Requirements
  • Minimum college diploma in Electronics or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a related field, with experience in gaming equipment repairs
  • Thorough knowledge of gaming equipment principles and operation
  • Highly motivated, organized, and reliable individual with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Smart Serve Certification and ability to work in a fully licensed venue
Work Conditions
  • Ability to work with tools, pipes, and materials
  • Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment required
  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
