Compensation Claims Specialist

This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Burnaby, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing worker's compensation claims and supporting return-to-work plans. Collaborating with regulators, supervisors, medical professionals, and employees, you'll help safely return workers to their pre-injury job tasks.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with the Director of Health & Safety to design and implement effective claims management processes
- Prepare reports and statistical data on injuries for presentation to various internal groups
- Administer and maintain the Safety Management System, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information
- Perform various administrative duties in support of the safety program, including tracking and follow-up on overdue items
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in a related field; preferred certifications as CRTWC, CDMP or RTWDM
- Approximately 2+ years of experience managing worker's compensation claims and/or managing work-related injury claims
- Strong computer skills and experience producing required reports
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing, with high levels of confidentiality and privacy
