The estimated salary for this position is CAD $27.10 per hour.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Imaging Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and booking patient appointments for designated areas within Medical Imaging. Key duties include arranging times with patients, doctors' offices, nursing units, physicians, technical staff, and surgical/medical daycare. Additionally, the coordinator will prepare and confirm patient information, enter booking, patient, and image/film information into radiology and hospital computerized and/or manual booking and patient information systems. Other responsibilities include acting as receptionist to support the delivery of patient care, maintaining requisitions for all bookings, providing patient waiting list information to supervisors, and performing other clerical functions as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Grade 12 education and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Key skills and abilities include the ability to keyboard at 40 wpm, knowledge of medical terminology, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position is also required.
