Technical Infrastructure Analyst – Desktop Support Junior

We're currently hiring for a Junior Technical Infrastructure Analyst, Desktop Support for our Calgary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Service Desk/Call Centre, including tasks such as PC imaging, IT asset tracking, and report running.
  • Perform professional, technical, and analytical duties in the operation of the enterprise, client/server environment.
  • Provide day-to-day support and customer interaction for break-fix and troubleshooting issues, including proactive maintenance for applications and services.
  • Support the design, analysis, plans, and implementation of IT projects, including considerations for data storage, virtualization, collaboration, applications, networks, and operating systems.
  • Analyze, detect, identify, and correct technical problems and deficiencies.
  • Determine proper installation parameters for software and hardware for smooth integration, transition, and efficiency.
  • Installation and configuration of software(s), hardware support, and Operating System Support.
  • Document hardware and software inventory.
  • Monitor and collect data on system performance.
  • Ensure all devices meet or exceed Security and Corporate policy requirements.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new technologies.
  • Ability to research errors using online resources.
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the disaster recovery plan for IT-related applications and systems.
  • Seek to identify areas of improvement to the IT infrastructure to meet evolving user and customer requirements and challenges.
Requirements:
  • College Diploma in computer science or related computer systems diploma.
  • ~1-2 years of Service desk or desktop IT support experience.
  • Good technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Microsoft Windows based Desktop applications, Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Server Editions, IT Ticketing system and Scripting languages, Multi-function Printers and Video Conferencing Applications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
