Position Summary:

We are in search of a proactive and skilled IT Specialist. This multifaceted role will involve direct reporting to our IT Infrastructure Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering first-level support for all hardware, software, telecommunication, and network-related issues.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining all PC-based hardware, software, and peripherals in both office and production environments.
  • Accurately logging issues and resolutions in the Help Desk Ticketing System.
  • Managing the inventory of computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Assessing hardware and software requirements and suggesting improvements to the IT Infrastructure Manager.
  • Providing after-hours support for all PC-related issues for both internal and external users.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A Diploma in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent is necessary.
  • 2-3 years of experience in installing and configuring PC hardware and software.
  • A foundational understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and O365 is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is an asset.
