Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at PHSA. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Coordinate appointments and tests for patients in collaboration with the clinical team
  • Prepare and distribute medical reports and documents
  • Assist with data entry and other administrative tasks as required
Requirements
  • Grade 12 graduation from a recognized secretarial program, including a recognized course in medical transcription
  • Three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Ability to keyboard at 50 wpm
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to deal with others effectively
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
