Security Officer

At Paladin Security, we are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as On-Call Security Guards. As an essential first responder, you will provide short-term coverage at various sites throughout the Lower Mainland, including post-secondary universities, shopping malls, office towers, government buildings, industrial facilities, events, and more.
Key Responsibilities:- Control access to facilities and ensure the safety of clients and staff
- Conduct regular foot patrols to deter and detect potential security threats
- Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to alarms and emergency requests
- Provide first aid and basic life support as needed
- Offer excellent customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and emergency responders
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records
- De-escalate potentially violent situations and respond to emergencies with confidence and professionalism
- Manage lost and found items and report unusual activity to our Operations Centre and emergency services
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- A passion for being active and physically able to stand and/or patrol for extended periods
- Confidence interacting verbally with team members, client personnel, and emergency services
- Some experience in security or customer service is an asset, but not required
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including afternoons and overnights, and be available for on-call duties
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18-$21, depending on the site, and a minimum commitment of 6 months. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safety of others, we encourage you to apply.
