As a key member of our locomotive shop team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, driving vehicles, and carrying out various tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our freight trains.

About the Role

As a Railway Equipment Operator, you will work closely with a large team to ensure the safety and success of CN's operations. You will be required to operate heavy equipment, drive vehicles, and carry out various tasks to maintain the integrity of our locomotives and other railway equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including dollies, high-pressure-washing machines, shovels, and wheelbarrows.
  • Drive vehicles, including trucks, forklifts, and cranes.
  • Carry out various tasks, as needed, to maintain the integrity of our locomotives and other railway equipment.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED).
  • The ability to determine the condition of objects and parts for wear and defects.
