Mechanical Repair Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will perform routine and complex repairs on railway equipment and train cars.
Responsibilities- Perform routine and complex repairs on rail maintenance equipment, attachments, and material handling equipment
- Use specialized tools and equipment, including electric and oxy-acetylene welding gear
- Record details on prescribed forms according to established procedures
- Communicate effectively with management and colleagues
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
- Must have experience with electric and gas welding equipment
- Must be interprovincial red seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent; experienced 4th year apprentices will be considered
- Must have own hand tools up to 1 1/4 inches
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Must be willing to travel within BC/AB on assigned work cycles
- Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License
- A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $90,000 per year
