Compensation Package:
- A base salary for this role with an estimated first year earnings of $80,000- $100,000.
Job Description:
The Product Support Representative (Outside Parts Salesperson – Truck Parts Sales) is responsible for selling heavy truck parts and accessories to new and existing customers, developing maximum parts department profitability and sales volumes of assigned accounts within a designated territory.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and achieve sales volumes consistent with sales projections for assigned accounts.
- Provide value-added services with regular customer visits.
- Conduct new sales calls on a weekly basis.
- Monitor operations of assigned accounts, offer advice, and assistance when required in areas such as inventory control, available services, new products, and/or product enhancements.
- Introduce new products and promotions to assigned accounts.
- Offer superior customer service to all accounts.
- Plan territory coverage and manage time consistent with management expectations.
- Complete customer call reports with weekly summaries of results.
- Control personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly expense reports.
- Investigate and refer customer issues to the appropriate Department Manager and/or General Manager.
- Assist counter personnel with orders, deliveries, and customer inquiries.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Qualification as a truck Parts Journeyperson preferred.
- Three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of heavy truck parts and accessories, commercial truck shop operations, and/or experience in a truck dealership as a parts technician/parts counterperson is required.
- Excellent sales skills, preferably in a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills.
- A valid Driver's License.
- Strong business ethics with a professional approach at all times.
