Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Edmonton, AB.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and serve all customers with exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen and provide expert advice to customers.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  • Accurately and thoroughly use technology to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues and provide solutions to customers.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand key performance indicators (KPIs) and competencies.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance.
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with point of sale (POS), computers, and calculators.
  • Embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer service and retail experience.
