Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Edmonton, AB.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and serve all customers with exceptional service and attention to detail.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen and provide expert advice to customers.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail.
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions.
- Accurately and thoroughly use technology to provide exceptional customer service.
- Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities.
- Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand key performance indicators (KPIs) and competencies.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and organized store appearance.
- Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- State licensure as a Licensed Optician.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, computers, and calculators.
- Embracing new technology and change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
