As a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you'll play a key role in helping us achieve this goal by applying continuous improvement methods and Lean manufacturing principles to drive process optimization and efficiency across our global sites.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data from various domains to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement systems and structures to standardize continuous improvement approaches
  • Refine and create facility layouts using AutoCAD and Sketchup
  • Improve and document processes using a suite of continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing methods
  • Participate in investigations to identify root causes using the CORE problem-solving method



Requirements:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship
  • Be able to work on-site in Halifax, Nova Scotia
  • Be proficient in English
  • Have skills to present technical presentations
  • Have software exposure in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Access, and MS Word
  • Have minimal knowledge of basic manufacturing processes
  • Have skills and ability to work under pressure with competing and varying priorities
  • Have project management skills
