About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Information Technology Specialist Intern to join our team at Pratt & Whitney. As an IT Specialist Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, including providing solutions to device-related manufacturing problems, maintaining computer and network systems, and introducing technical solutions for existing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide solutions to device-related manufacturing problems
- Maintain newly installed and legacy computer, network, hardware, and software systems
- Introduce, maintain, and optimize technical solutions for existing systems
- Analyze, design, and implement short- and long-term solutions to improve manufacturing capabilities
- Implement programming initiatives to improve manufacturing equipment and processes
- Provide support to 24/7 operations
- Commitment to EH&S and Quality objectives
- Provide project updates via presentations to leadership
Requirements
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout the internship
- Be able to work on-site in the province where hired
- Pursuing a degree in Applied Computer Science or Computer Science
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written). French is an asset.
