About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Material Handler - Shipping Specialist to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and shipping processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detail-oriented, high-precision material handling tasks to meet production and shipping deadlines.
- Distribute materials across all areas of the factory, utilizing knowledge of warehouse layout and inventory management systems.
- Handle various objects, boxes, parts, and carts with appropriate lifting equipment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Receive, verify, prepare, and issue all materials, including receiving and shipping operations.
- Pack and prepare materials for shipments, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Work with computer systems and applications to track inventory, manage orders, and optimize logistics processes.
- Conduct regular inventories and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Complete and update paperwork, including shipping documents and inventory reports.
- Operate a forklift and drive a truck safely and efficiently, adhering to company safety standards.
- Fulfill ongoing training requirements to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and company policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance warehouse operations and shipping processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company housekeeping standards.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or GED equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of using a computer in the Windows environment, including Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
- Clear Criminal Background Check and Favorable Credit Check.
