We seek an experienced Software Development Team Leader who will drive innovation and lead our game development teams to success. This role requires a strong leader who can partner with producers and stakeholders to manage scope, capacity, risk management, and reporting.

In this position, you'll oversee the operations of the team, developing policies and procedures for team management. As part of your responsibilities, you'll manage game development teams in designing, developing, operating, and administering to ensure timely deliverables.

About the Role
  • You will be responsible for setting up processes, capacity planning, reporting, and quality for the teams.
  • You will create Jira tickets for tasks and issues based on demand and prioritization of requested work.
  • You will collaborate with producers and stakeholders to plan roadmaps, schedules, scope, track risks and dependencies based on project goals for your teams.
  • You will guide the delivery of content and features for your teams.
  • You will conduct milestone planning, track team progress, and provide regular status updates.
  • You will play a leadership role in managing and cultivating the teams.
  • You will facilitate risk assessments and mitigation strategies when needed.
  • You will lead your team to seek improvement in processes, solve problems, balance priorities, and find creative solutions that achieve positive outcomes.
  • You will advocate for and empower the team, ensuring they have everything needed to excel in their roles.
About You
  • A Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • 7+ years of project management and team leadership experience in game development or equivalent is necessary.
  • 4+ years of proven experience managing projects, driving career development, and improving work performance is essential.
  • Applied experience in multiple project management methodologies such as waterfall and agile is preferred.
  • Experience in managing art, design, data, and engineering across all phases of development is required.
  • Confident decision-making skills drawing upon experience and best practices are necessary.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, or equivalent software is required.
  • A good understanding of games-as-a-service business models is essential.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
