Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Receptionist to join the Brandt team at our Ayr Brandt Peterbilt location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from clients, candidates, and other parties
  • Refer inquiries to the appropriate individuals, divisions, or departments
  • Perform administrative tasks as necessary
  • Receive and distribute correspondence
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of departmental programs and events
  • Arrange meetings and ensure necessary equipment is available
  • Present a positive and professional image of the organization
  • Provide information to staff and/or clients about special activities
  • Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail
  • Maintain the reception area in a tidy and presentable manner
  • Ensure necessary office supplies are stocked and obtained at the best possible price

Requirements

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills are required
  • Strong knowledge of general office procedures
  • Able to write simple correspondence
  • General mathematical skills
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out instructions
  • Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on a multi-line switchboard is considered an asset
  • High school diploma or GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • 2-4 years of direct work experience in a receptionist capacity
