Social Worker 3 Position

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Social Worker 3 to join our Long Term Care Team in Powell River, BC. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical supports and consultation to all programs in the local area, with a focus on Indigenous specific care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation, education, and mentorship to staff on complex care planning and clinical guidance within a client-centred care model.
- Develop decision support tools and policies to improve practice and organizational compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Provide consultation, mentorship, and education on abuse, neglect, and self-neglect prevention, and apply knowledge of resources and intervention strategies to assist those impacted.

Requirements- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited University.
- Post-graduate continuing education training in working with vulnerable/incapable adults, including completion of the ReAct Adult Protection Curriculum.
- Five years' recent, related experience in working with issues of adult abuse and neglect and self-neglect with vulnerable adults.
- Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
- Current BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle for travel within the region, as required.
