Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Social Worker 3 to join their Long Term Care Team in Powell River, BC. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Social Work and have experience working with vulnerable adults, including those with complex mental health and older adult populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultation, education, and mentorship to staff on issues related to adult abuse and neglect.
- Develop and implement support and assistance plans for vulnerable adults.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for patients and families.
- Conduct complex psychosocial assessments and provide culturally safe care to Indigenous individuals and families.

Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
- Post-graduate continuing education training in working with vulnerable adults.
- Five years' recent experience in social work, including experience working with complex mental health and older adult populations.
- Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers.
- Current BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle for travel within the region.
