Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Agriculture Unit as an Associate Vice-President. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Commercial and Private Banking 1859 strategy, managing a team of specialists, and contributing to the growth of agricultural producers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage a team of specialists to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop a skilled, proactive, and engaged sales force to create a superior client experience.
  • Support organizational changes and contribute to the development of the team through a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Identify and develop business opportunities in the market, increase the commercial client base, and establish business development strategies.
  • Oversee a sustainable and profitable growth plan and meet financial performance targets.
  • Manage risks inherent to the sector.
  • Seek to expand knowledge and that of the team in integrated consulting services.
  • Identify and propose ways to change and rethink work practices to boost process and system efficiency.
  • Keep abreast of economic trends affecting the Commercial Banking sector and ensure that products and services meet client needs.

About the Team:

The successful candidate will lead a team of 16 employees, including Account Managers and Account representatives, in Eastern Ontario, Outaouais, Lanaudière, Laval, Laurentides, and Abittibi-Témiscamingue.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience dealing with Commercial Banking clients (mid-market and/or agriculture).
  • Knowledge of the agricultural sector or field.
  • Solid background in personnel management.
  • Experience in complex financing structures and risk analysis.
  • Experience in sales coaching.
  • Negotiation experience.
  • Ability to maximize the use of sales management tools.
