About the Role

This position plays a crucial role in supporting agribusiness clients across various regions by providing expert guidance and financial solutions tailored to their needs.

As an Agricultural Banking Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and developing business opportunities to drive sustained growth of the agribusiness client base.
  • Providing personalized support and advice to clients, fostering lasting relationships and trust.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to meet company objectives and client expectations.
  • Negotiating agreements with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends and issues specific to various agricultural sectors.
  • Participating in targeted visibility activities to expand your network and generate new contacts.
  • Maintaining the quality of loan and deposit portfolios.

About Your Team

You'll join a dynamic team of specialists in the agriculture industry, working closely with experts from Commercial Banking and Private Banking 1859. Our training programs focus on on-the-job learning, enabling you to master your role and develop essential skills.

You will report to the agricultural vice-president for your assigned region and manage a customer portfolio covering the same area.

Requirements

  • A relevant college diploma or bachelor's degree in a related field, or a combination of relevant experience and university certificate.
  • Relevant experience in the agriculture sector.
  • Strong sales advisory skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • In Quebec, being a member of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec is an asset.
  • Credit and banking industry experience is also an asset.
