About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for our interprofessional health services teams.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, with a minimum of five years of experience in a leadership and/or management position. They will have excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

The Health Services Manager will be responsible for day-to-day clinical operations, standards of care, and maintaining a safe and respectful work environment. They will also contribute to policy development, quality initiatives, service standardization, and resource management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree from a health-related discipline and a Master's degree or Leadership certificate is an asset. They will be registered with the relevant health discipline college/association and have a high level of sound judgment, initiative, and self-direction.

The Health Services Manager will work collaboratively with a wide range of services and programs across Nova Scotia Health and community healthcare providers. They will also be required to engage with the Department of Justice Correctional Services to ensure safe and timely care for patients and Persons in Custody.
