About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health Services Manager to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for our interprofessional health services teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day clinical operations leadership and direction to our health services teams
  • Develop and implement standards of care and quality initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain relationships with our stakeholders, including the Department of Justice Correctional Services
  • Lead process planning and redesign work to improve our services and operations

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in healthcare leadership and management. You will have a Bachelor's degree from a health-related discipline and a Master's degree or leadership certificate is an asset. You will also have a minimum of five years of recent experience in a leadership and/or management position with responsibilities related to program planning, evaluation, human resource and financial management within a unionized environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five years of recent experience in a leadership and/or management position
  • Minimum five years of recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio
  • Must be registered with the relevant health discipline college/association
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, negotiation, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work
  • Requires a high level of sound judgment, initiative, and self-direction

We offer a competitive salary range of $45.45 - $60.39 hourly and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
