Position: Analyst/Engineer – Licensing Specialist

Employment Type: Permanent

Reports to: Manager Advanced Reactor Integration & Analysis

Hours per week: 37.5

We offer a competitive total compensation package, unmatched by most industries in North America, including a salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.

The Opportunity

This role will provide nuclear safety and licensing support to clients in the nuclear sector, focusing on Deterministic Safety Analysis, Probabilistic Safety Analysis, Operational Nuclear Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Nuclear Security, Regulatory Affairs, and related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct projects in conjunction with senior engineers or supervisor
  • Analyze technical results and prepare reports
  • Develop proposals and negotiate contracts with clients
  • Lead Kinectrics' technical staff on common projects
  • Prepare technical reports for submission to clients and regulators

Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of science and engineering principles
  • Nuclear safety & licensing experience – 5 years at minimum
  • New build and/or SMR or Advanced Reactor service experience – 1 year is an asset
  • Effective interpersonal and project management skills
  • Familiarity with Canadian regulatory requirements and CSA N286 QA standards
