This role involves providing exceptional patient care by scheduling appointments, registering patients, and performing various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient appointments using a computerized scheduling system and adjust arrangements as necessary to meet patient and departmental requirements.
  • Receive and register patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate demographic information and follow up with relevant parties as needed.
  • Perform referral functions, including gathering additional information, data entry, and processing paperwork, and schedule new referrals based on established criteria.
  • Provide receptionist and clerical support, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and maintaining client charts and records.
  • Maintain accurate records, perform data entry, and collate information for statistical analysis and reporting.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, plus two years of recent experience in a related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and to deal with others effectively.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to operate related equipment.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
