Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team at Accountant Staffing. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional accounting and financial services to our clients, including review engagements, notice to reader, corporate, personal and trust tax return preparation, complex accounting research, and ad hoc client projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Review engagements and provide high-quality financial statements
- Prepare and review corporate, personal and trust tax returns
- Conduct complex accounting research and provide recommendations
- Manage client relationships and provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with ad hoc client projects and provide support as needed
- CPA or interest in working towards CPA designation
- Bachelor of Commerce or BBA in Accounting
- Strong financial and analytical comprehension and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience within a public accounting environment is an asset
- Proactive and client service-oriented
- Skilled at time management and prioritization
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly professional and value client confidentiality
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Proficient in financial statement preparation
- High level of comfort with Microsoft Office and accounting systems in general
- Previous experience with CaseWare and professional tax software is an asset
