Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Stakeholder Engagement to join our Strategic Stakeholder Engagement team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of conceiving, developing, and delivering successful stakeholder engagement initiatives. They will manage the overarching stakeholder engagement strategy for our clients and work closely with them to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.

A passion for healthcare, the stakeholder ecosystem, and innovative solutions in stakeholder engagement is a must. The ideal candidate will understand how pharma engages with Key External Stakeholders to strategically identify the right expert for the right engagement.

This role serves as the strategic driver between clients and internal teams to execute stakeholder strategies and initiatives. The Director will conceive and implement stakeholder strategies that contribute to achieving client business objectives.

This leadership role comes with room to expand your professional skill set and scope of responsibility. You will need to combine health experience with business acumen and work across disciplinary boundaries. Additionally, you must be able to learn quickly while educating various disciplines throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary SME and point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met
  • Serve as the SSE champion across all levels of the organization, generating excitement and advocacy for the craft through ongoing networking and cross-collaboration with CST leadership
  • Develop strategic, well-informed, and insightful external stakeholder engagement plans
  • Support the client's stakeholder engagement strategy by continually assessing collaborations with key external stakeholders and driving cohesive and transparent interactions and collaboration outcomes
  • Ensure positive client experience and provide thought leadership to advance the client's stakeholder strategy with a future-forward mindset
  • Oversee and provide guidance on project briefs, including necessary SME and associated staffing ratio
  • Ensure high-quality project delivery, leveraging a deep understanding of the client's internal ecosystem
  • Drive the continuous growth and evolution of the agency's Strategic Stakeholder Engagement craft, processes, products, and tools to drive greater efficiency, quality, and consistency across the organization
  • Strategically collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientific innovation/medical communications, medical strategy, client services, project management, and advocacy to optimize growth and cross-selling opportunities
  • Lead new business pitches as the SME for SSE
  • Build, develop, and identify opportunities for SSE direct reports
  • Provide strategic recommendations supporting client mid and long-term business objectives
  • Mentor direct reports, imparting knowledge and experience in creating and sustaining effective stakeholder partnerships
  • Serve as financial steward to client budgets
  • Ensure all communications reflect the Klick Health standards and lead in developing a positive client experience
  • Set short-term and longer-term planning objectives and results, anticipating and mitigating potential risks and opportunities

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in a communications agency or a health communications function preferred
  • Knowledge and experience of working across multiple disease states desirable
  • Brand-related communications and strategy expertise
  • Stakeholder management or client service experience required
  • Effective stakeholder/industry partnerships in healthcare creation and sustenance
  • Excellence in writing, developing, and implementing strategic stakeholder engagement plans or other business plans
  • Ability to activate professional network and evaluate new business opportunities with SSE growth partner
  • Organizational and time management skills excellence
  • Extensive business acumen in healthcare, pharmaceutical industry, competitors, and key drivers in the macro-environment
  • Exceptional client service mindset and interpersonal/collaboration skills

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year
