Job Summary
The Hospital Assistant supports the operation of functions related to recruitment, screening, orientation, placement, evaluation, and recognition of volunteers under the direction of the Manager, HSC Volunteer Services, and the Administrative Assistant.
Requirements
- Minimum one-year previous office experience required.
- Experience in a hospital-related environment is an asset.
- Experience working with volunteers and as a volunteer would be an asset.
Education and Training
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Volunteer Management training preferred.
Key Skills
- Typing 50 wpm required.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
- Must be a team player with outstanding interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle a diverse workload in a busy environment.
- Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
Working Conditions
- Subject to frequent interruptions.
