Lead the Fun: Community Events Coordinator at Science North

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Community Events Coordinator to join our team at Science North. If you thrive on creating new opportunities, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences, this might be the perfect role for you.

As a key member of our events team, you will play a pivotal role in maximizing sales, coordinating seamless events, and fostering positive relationships with clients, partners, and the community. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing sales strategies, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers, leading event logistics, and optimizing collaborative efforts with caterers and other service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and maintain profitability.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, partners, and the community.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to organize and execute events.
  • Lead event logistics, including setup, floor plans, and vendor management.
  • Optimize collaborative efforts with caterers and other service providers.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of diverse event management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Superior expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to foster productive working relationships.
  • A resourceful and creative approach to problem-solving.
  • A valid G driver's license in good standing with a 3-year clean driving abstract.
