Chief Legal Counsel for Standard Aero's Airlines

**Job Summary**
The Chief Legal Counsel for Standard Aero's Airlines & Fleets Sector will provide counsel, advice, and support to the senior leadership team and report directly to the General Counsel. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a cross-functional team and make a significant impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage in-house litigation matters, including legal research and drafting, motion practice, e-discovery and other discovery requests.
- Manage sector merger and acquisition activities, from pre-buy counseling and due diligence to post-close integration.
- Manage and train sector staff counsel associated with legal, contract administration, and subcontract administration responsibilities.
- Coordinate with various units on matters including contract negotiations, strategies, and priorities.
- Review and analyze regulations and provide business counseling to senior leadership.
- Implement continuous improvement methods to develop and enhance departmental and sector processes.
Requirements
- JD and active member of a state bar in the U.S. or a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, accounting; or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years in private practice or in-house experience (in-house experience preferred).
- Persistent drive for results using program management, risk management and problem solving skills.
